The Book Loan Department offers free textbooks to all SFSU students in need. Applications are available at the beginning of Fall & Spring semesters. Please note that processing time will take 1-2 weeks. Due to the volume of applications, we can not guarantee that your requests will be fulfilled.

Policy Guidelines 

The following represents the policies students agree to participate in the Associated Students Project Connect Book Loan Service at San Francisco State University:

  • Must be currently enrolled at SFSU with a minimum of 6 units
  • Students are limited to borrow 1-3 books per semester
  • Students must return the books at the end of the semester by the specified deadline 
  • Any student who fails to return the books will no longer be able to borrow books from AS Project Connect in the future 
  • Students must return all books to AS Project Connect Recruitment and Retention Resource Center located inside the Cesar Chavez Student Center on the terrace level T-139
