ABOUT US

  • EROS is a FREE resource center for San Francisco State University students.
  • We are dedicated to promoting a healthy and respectful understanding of sexuality and gender through judgment-free peer education, diversity, and empowerment.
  • Through the services we provide, we promote the health and wellness of students and offer the opportunity for students to gain a deeper understanding of self, sexuality, and health services in the Bay Area.
  • Organize sexual health related events for students, including Kink and Bondage, Consent Workshops, and our annual Sexuality Career Fair.
  • Connect the campus community by providing presentations and information to students, classes, and organizations.
  • Connect students to the greater San Francisco community by referring off-campus resources and collaborating with off-campus organizations for events.
  • Free safer sex supplies: internal and external condoms (latex and non latex, lubricated and non lubricated), water and silicone based lubricant, dental dams, gloves, wet wipes, plan B, pregnancy tests, finger condoms, and latex underwear.
  • Harm Reduction Supplies: Naloxone and fentanyl test strips
  • Judgment-free peer education
  • A lending library of academic, pornographic, fictional, and instructional books and DVDs.
  • A referral database for on and off campus sexuality related resources.

Events

Open House

An invitation for students to explore the EROS office, including its safer sex supplies, harm reduction materials, and sexual health library. This casual event introduces students to available resources in a welcoming and low-pressure environment. 

Spring Social

A casual community-building event aimed at helping students become familiar with the EROS office and staff. The event fosters trust and encourages students to feel comfortable accessing services and asking questions.

Cupid's Dash

A Valentine’s Day social co-hosted with the Queer & Trans Resource Center. Designed to create a safe space for students to connect, relax, engage in crafts, and build friendships in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Pride Prom

A celebratory social event in partnership with the Queer & Trans Resource Center, providing queer students with a joyful space to express themselves, connect, and dance in an affirming setting. 

Sex Trivia Night

An engaging trivia night in collaboration with Health Promotion and Wellness, covering topics such as STIs, consent, polyamory, BDSM, and queer identities. Students collaborate in teams to answer questions, learn new information, and reduce stigma around sexuality in a fun, judgment-free setting. 

Workshops & Educational Programming

Healthy Relationships Workshop

In collaboration with La Casa de las Madres, this interactive workshop explores key elements of healthy relationships, including trust, safety, autonomy, and self-determination. It also examines how to support young people in navigating unhealthy relationships while affirming their agency.

PrEP Workshop

Hosted with Bridge HIV, this workshop provides information about PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) as an HIV prevention method, and includes broader sexual health education on STIs and risk reduction strategies.

Exploring BDSM

Presented by Good Vibrations and Dr. Carol Queen, this educational session introduces students to BDSM (bondage, discipline, dominance, submission, sadism, and masochism). Topics include negotiation, roles (such as top/bottom), consent, and safety practices to ensure informed and respectful exploration. 

Rope and Sensation Play

Led by certified sex educator Jamie Joy, this hands-on workshop covers rope bondage, wax play, and electro play. The class emphasizes safety, consent, communication, and aftercare, offering both technique demonstrations and identity exploration. 

G-Spot Workshop

Also in partnership with Good Vibrations and Dr. Carol Queen, this session debunks myths around the G-spot and educates students about pelvic anatomy, erotic techniques, and the potential for orgasm and squirting. The workshop supports body literacy and pleasure education. 

Strap-On 101 Workshop

 A beginner-friendly workshop with Dr. Carol Queen and Good Vibrations staff focusing on strap-on play. Topics include toy selection, harnesses, solo and partnered play, and how strap-on sex can intersect with gender expression and intimacy. 

Reproductive Freedom Workshop

Co-hosted with the Reproduction and Health Equity Hub, this session equips students with knowledge and advocacy tools to protect reproductive rights and abortion access, both personally and within their communities. 

Poly Workshop

Facilitated by EROS Director Camila Hernández, this session introduces polyamory, addresses common concerns like jealousy and stigma, and explores different relationship structures and their benefits. 

Interactive Tabling & Outreach

Sexy Book Expo

A World Book Day tabling event promoting the EROS sexual health library. Students are encouraged to browse sex-positive literature and learn more about healthy sexuality through accessible educational materials. 

Sexuality Career Fair

A fair to network and explore community resources, and learn about careers in public health and sex education.

Survivor Support Services

Survivor Support Services is a a resource fair to provide support services for domestic violence survivors.
