About Us
AS Project Connect Recruitment and Retention Center’s philosophy is creating opportunities for networking, navigating, and making college transition easier. Project Connect exists to empower and involve the student body to promote higher education and facilitate graduation for low-income and historically underrepresented communities. This program was founded in Spring of 2006 by a former SFSU alumni, Mario Flores.
Project Connect is an equity and social justice program that strives to impact future generations of SF State students by sharing with them university life experiences and campus resources. Project Connect has four (4) departments: Book Loan, Outreach, Retention, and Internship.
