Looking for a break between classes? Come hang out at Rack-N-Cue! We’ve got five historic Brunswick pool tables — the heart of our space — ready for casual games with friends or friendly competition. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just picking up a cue for the first time, this is the perfect place to chalk up, shoot around, and have some fun. And when you’re ready to switch it up, dive into our 20+ video games across two PlayStation 5s and three Nintendo Switches.

Your Campus Spot to Relax, Compete & Connect

  • Rack-N-Cue is a FREE recreational space for San Francisco State University students, staff, and alumni.
  • We are dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all visitors to enjoy leisure time, meet new people, and discover the joy of play. Our goal is to enhance the SF State experience by offering a space that supports mental health, social connection, and campus involvement.
  • Provide pool tables, video game consoles, and board games for students, staff, and alumni to use.
  • Organize events and tournaments, including billiards tournaments and game nights.
  • Partner with other campus programs and student organizations to host collaborative events that promote recreation and inclusion.
  • Offering a welcoming space for students to relax between classes, connect with the
    SF State community, and destress.
  • 🎱 The Pool Hall is completely FREE for all students, staff, and alumni! 🎱
  • Free recreational activities, game equipment, and amenities:
    • Pool tables
    • Video game consoles (PlayStation 5s, Nintendo Switches)
    • Board and card games
  • Community-building events such as tournaments, game nights, and collaborative campus events. 

📖 Our History

Since its establishment, Rack-N-Cue Games Room has been a welcoming recreation space operated by Associated Students at San Francisco State University. The program was created to provide students, staff, and alumni with a fun, inclusive, and stress-free environment where they can relax, connect, and build community outside of the classroom.

Rack-N-Cue continues to strengthen campus life by fostering belonging, reducing stress, and giving students a supportive space to have fun, recharge, and build meaningful connections.
