Our Mission

AS Project Connect (Creating Opportunities for Networking, Navigating, and Easing a College Transition) exists to empower and involve the student body to promote higher education and facilitate graduation for low income and historically underrepresented communities. This is an equity and social justice program that strives to impact future generations of SF State students by sharing with them our university life experiences and our campus resources.

 

Our History

Since its founding in Spring 2006, Project Connect Recruitment and Retention Resource Center was led by Mario Flores, an SF State Alumni from the class of 2005. During his 12 years of leadership as the founding Director of Project Connects, he served students and expanded Associated Students’ university partnerships. Project Connect is often referred to by students as a “home away from home” and a community where students feel a sense of belonging.

Project Connect Help Desk

To help you navigate Project Connect Programs and Services, we have provided you a digital “help desk” via Zoom.

Please utilize this link below to drop-in to the waiting room to meet with one of our staff members. We’re happy to help!

The Help Desk is available starting June 29th every Monday and Tuesday from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM. We utilize the Zoom waiting room feature to best support each individual personally and confidentially. Thank you!
