My name is Shivani Modha, and I am your 2025-2026 Graduate Representative for Associated Students! Associated Students is SFSU’s student government and houses 13 student-led programs. As Graduate Representative, I work closely with the Vice President of Academic Affairs and the Graduate Studies Dean in order to bring graduate student needs directly to our administration.
My academic journey started in Sacramento, CA where I was born and raised. Shortly after, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Philosophy at UC Santa Cruz in 2023. I am now a second-year Ethnic Studies MA student, and I will graduate this May alongside many of you! With my background in Ethnic Studies, I plan to bring valuable insights that will serve the diverse concerns and desires of our graduate student community.
