Hello everyone, my name is Elsy Hernandez-Monroy, and I’m delighted to serve as your VP of Academic Affairs for the year. I’m in my third year of studying Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts, a field very close to my heart. Storytelling and artistic expression have always been my strongest passions, and I’m incredibly grateful to be pursuing a major that embodies both. During my free time, I love going on long walks across the city, experimenting with new baking recipes, and writing poetry or stories.
I’ve also worked with student orgs and our faculty union, CFA, during my time here to organize for better learning and teaching conditions. I’m excited to continue using this experience to keep fighting for accessible, quality education for all of us! I would love to hear from you if you have any concerns or ideas; my office hour is Thursdays from 1 – 2 pm in the BOD office (CCSC, M-113B).
